What is STAYCOOL® fabric and how does it work?
Polygiene® StayCool® fabric is a new-generation Swedish technology specifically developed to improve thermal comfort during sleep.
Unlike conventional "cool-touch" fabrics, StayCool® technology is activated by moisture. As your body naturally releases heat and perspiration during sleep, the treatment accelerates the transfer of both away from the skin, helping maintain a cooler, drier and more comfortable sleeping surface.
The treatment is permanently bonded to the fibres and continues to deliver its cooling performance even after repeated use and washing. In addition, the fabric features over 70% biodegradability and is certified by OEKO-TEX®, GOTS and bluesign®.
Laboratory-tested performance
The performance of Polygiene® StayCool® fabric has been verified through laboratory thermal imaging tests.
During testing, StayCool® fabric samples and conventional untreated fabrics were placed inside a climate chamber at an ambient temperature of 35°C with 65% relative humidity.
A solution simulating human perspiration was then applied to activate the StayCool® technology. The surface temperature was subsequently measured using a thermal imaging camera. The results showed a lower surface temperature compared to conventional untreated fabrics.

These tests demonstrate that the cooling effect remains effective even after repeated washing, confirming the permanent nature of the treatment.
Thermal imaging tests were carried out by the TÜV Rheinland laboratory.
Moisture management tests were carried out by Bureau Veritas according to the testing methods established for this technology.
The results confirmed that the fabric promotes faster moisture evaporation, helping create a healthier and more comfortable sleeping microclimate in less time.
