What is STAYCOOL® fabric and how does it work?
The Polygiene® StayCool® cover features a new-generation Swedish technology designed to improve thermal comfort during sleep.
Unlike conventional "cooling" fabrics, StayCool® technology is activated by moisture: when the body produces heat and moisture during sleep, the treatment accelerates their transfer away from the skin, helping to keep the surface cooler, drier and more comfortable.
The treatment is permanently bonded to the fabric fibres and maintains its performance even after repeated use and washing. In addition, the treatment has a biodegradability rate of over 70% and is OEKO-TEX®, GOTS and bluesign® certified.
Laboratory-tested performance
The performance of Polygiene® StayCool® fabric has been verified through laboratory tests using a thermal imaging camera.
During the test, samples of StayCool® fabric and conventional untreated fabrics were placed in a climate chamber at an ambient temperature of 35°C and 65% relative humidity.
A solution simulating human sweat was then applied to the surface to activate the StayCool® technology. The surface temperature was subsequently measured using a thermal imaging camera. The results showed a lower temperature compared to conventional untreated fabric.

The yarn used consists mainly of high-strength Nylon, a technical fibre also used in applications requiring lightness, high breathability and excellent mechanical strength. This special structure promotes rapid moisture transfer, fast drying, a Dry Touch effect, long-lasting durability and improved activation of StayCool® technology.
