The light blue upper layer is made of POLAR FOAM, a special innovative foam designed to provide a pleasant cooling sensation and effective temperature control during rest. Thanks to its extremely open-cell structure, it ensures high breathability and rapid heat and moisture dissipation.

What is STAYCOOL® fabric and how does it work?

The Polygiene® StayCool® cover features a new-generation Swedish technology designed to improve thermal comfort during sleep.
Unlike conventional "cooling" fabrics, StayCool® technology is activated by moisture: when the body produces heat and moisture during sleep, the treatment accelerates their transfer away from the skin, helping to keep the surface cooler, drier and more comfortable.
The treatment is permanently bonded to the fabric fibres and maintains its performance even after repeated use and washing. In addition, the treatment has a biodegradability rate of over 70% and is OEKO-TEX®, GOTS and bluesign® certified.

Laboratory-tested performance
The performance of Polygiene® StayCool® fabric has been verified through laboratory tests using a thermal imaging camera.
During the test, samples of StayCool® fabric and conventional untreated fabrics were placed in a climate chamber at an ambient temperature of 35°C and 65% relative humidity.
A solution simulating human sweat was then applied to the surface to activate the StayCool® technology. The surface temperature was subsequently measured using a thermal imaging camera. The results showed a lower temperature compared to conventional untreated fabric.

The tests demonstrate that the cooling effect remains effective even after repeated washing, confirming the permanent nature of the treatment.

Moisture dissipation tests were carried out at Bureau Veritas according to the test methods specified for this technology.
It has been proven that this fabric facilitates and accelerates moisture dissipation, helping to quickly create a healthy microclimate.

Active cooling, not just a "cool" fabric
Many fabrics are described as "cooling" simply because they feel pleasant to the touch. Polygiene® StayCool® works differently.
The technology activates when moisture levels increase, promoting faster dispersion of heat and sweat and helping to create a drier microclimate during sleep. This provides a cooling sensation that lasts throughout the night instead of being limited to the initial contact with the fabric.

The performance of the cover is enhanced by the construction of the fabric itself, designed to maximise cooling performance.
The yarn used consists mainly of high-strength Nylon, a technical fibre also used in applications requiring lightness, high breathability and excellent mechanical strength. This special structure promotes rapid moisture transfer, fast drying, a Dry Touch effect, long-lasting durability and improved activation of StayCool® technology.
The result is a mattress topper that keeps the surface drier and more comfortable even on the hottest nights.
